2-Basic Questions
Our Family Resource Navigator will ask you several basic questions to get to know you better. These are:
- Your name, telephone number, email, and physical address.
- The name of your child, age, diagnosis, and current grade.
3-Immediate Concern Questions
The next step is to learn why you reached out to us. What do you want to accomplish, and what kind of help do you need?
4-Exploratory Questions
Following this, she will perform some exploratory questions to get a better idea of what your concerns are and how Positive Behavior Services can help you and your child. This includes:
- Assessment of sensory and developmental needs
- Assessment of academic needs
- Assessment of economic needs
- Assessment of emotional needs
- Assessment of familial needs and family dynamics

5-Verbal Communication of Recommendations and Plan of Action
Next, based on the comprehensive assessment, awareness of information supports and services will be provided. This will also include a plan of action, which will be verbally communicated and explained in detail.
6-Email Communication
Shortly following the Family Resource Navigator consultation, you will receive a series of emails with all the information provided during the consultation in a format for easy access and assimilation.
7-Follow-up Communication
Finally, you can schedule follow-up consults as needed.

Our Family Resource Navigator provides custom autism help for parents by working closely with families, providing them with information about community resources, assisting with funding applications, and providing emotional support. She is also available to answer questions and provide guidance to families throughout their child’s treatment journey.

- Individualized Roadmap: For newly diagnosed children, parents are provided with a detailed and individualized roadmap with the precise steps to ensure their child’s best outcome.
- Free I.D.E.A. Guidance: We provide FREE guidance on I.D.E.A. (the federal special education law) by helping parents understand their child’s rights to an appropriate, meaningful, and beneficial education. This may include a review of the IEP or assistance in obtaining special education support and services.
- Guidance and Education on NOW/COM: We provide FREE guidance and education on the NOW/COM, Katie Beckett, and Medicaid-Waivers, as well as information on SSI, HIPP, and Medicaid, along with state private school choice scholarships such as The Step Up Program.
